Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, geological engineering, civil engineering, or other environmental specialties.
  • More than 15 years of practical experience in SCR.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing technical and professional staff as a team leader or manager of multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong communication skills and clear demonstrated leadership, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor technical and professional staff at various stages of their career development.
  • Solid knowledge of environmental standards, regulations, and laws in Quebec and federally, where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the activities of the Quebec SCR team, ensuring collaborative leadership and fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equality.
  • Support the director in recruiting and retaining staff to build a high-performing team, including strategic recruitment as needed, based on workloads and market demands.
  • In collaboration with the director, maximize group utilization while ensuring a healthy work-life balance by coordinating resources with other supervisors.
  • Act as a direct interface between clients and AtkinsRéalis project teams and/or regulatory bodies, and support the team in understanding client objectives, technical and administrative protocols, and applicable regulations for the work/projects undertaken.
  • Manage high-level projects and service proposals, including technical program development, personnel and resource management, supervision of budgets and deliverable schedules, implementation of quality assurance reviews, and ensuring client objectives are met.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of quality assurance programs and company policies and procedures, including ethics and compliance.
  • Implement rules and procedures to ensure employee and environmental health and safety, as well as the prevention of workplace incidents. Furthermore, with a view to continuous improvement, be proactive in identifying and improving health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures to prevent hazards related to your work.
