About The Position

As a Chef de Cuisine at Boqueria, you will be responsible for ensuring that Boqueria’s culinary offerings consistently exceed guest expectations with a primary focus on maintaining impeccable food quality in accordance with brand standards.  The CDC is responsible for curating par levels for ordering and managing inventory with an eye for ingredient excellence, ensuring every dish reflects a dedication to quality.  They lead Back of House operations to meet established targets, fostering a culture of excellence through the hiring, training, and retention of a team of hospitality-driven A-players.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience at comparable/casual upscale restaurants or scratch kitchens
  • Demonstrated experience developing a team of "A" players at restaurants run by this individual - sous chefs, cooks
  • Highly proficient with cooking appliances and an advanced knowledge of culinary techniques
  • Strong financial acumen to understand financial implications - P&L, COGs, labor, operational excellence
  • Ability to build par levels for ordering practices and manage inventory levels effectively with a high attention to ingredient quality
  • State required food safety certifications
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan ahead.
  • Strong people management experience and abilities
  • Motivated by a strong internal drive to achieve success, dedicated to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to speak English
