Reporting to the Executive Chef, we are seeking an exceptional Chef de Cuisine to join our 1811 Grille team at our Clubhouse. The Chef de Cuisine will lead the Back-of-House team with creativity, talent, and a genuine passion for both people and food, while delivering an outstanding dining experience for our members and guests. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and industry best practices
  • Passion for creating exceptional, memorable dining experiences
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-quality environment
  • Creative, innovative, and forward-thinking approach
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Proven experience managing budgets and inventory

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen operations for the 1811 Grille; ensure consistent taste, plating, and guest experience
  • Develop seasonal menus and specials aligned with Belfair's culinary philosophy; incorporate Lowcountry influences and collaborate on beverage pairings
  • Manage Back-of-House functions including scheduling, training, payroll, and performance management
  • Monitor food costs, product ordering, receiving, and inventory control
  • Mentor and develop culinary staff
  • Enforce best practices for safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house and management teams to deliver exceptional member experiences
  • Incorporate feedback from members and staff to continuously improve operations
