About The Position

The Team Lead, Operations is responsible for overseeing the processing of all shipments and tracking them during transit. This role ensures compliance with DSV's company guidelines and government regulations. The Team Lead will communicate directly with clients, overseas offices, and carriers. Additionally, this role will mentor and train new employees and update internal and external processes as needed.

Requirements

Studies in supply chain logistics, international transport, or a related field
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the transit environment
Proficiency in French and English
Above-average customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to build respected professional relationships internally and externally
Excellent coaching and management skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage tight deadlines
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and punctuality
Be authentic, approachable, open, and honest

Responsibilities

Daily management and coordination of shipments
Manage daily operations of the operations department directly
Promote process and procedure to meet or exceed company KPI requirements
Establish and coordinate schedules with carriers and hand over shipments
Prepare and publish reports upon request
Coach and train new employees from time to time
Proactively identify issues and promptly implement the appropriate solution
Take responsibility for limiting shipment costs
Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and choose the most cost-effective delivery method
Daily communication with the client regarding relevant issues and their resolution
Manage the implementation of new accounts, from standard operating procedure to execution
Ability to demonstrate deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting
Effectively handle issues that arise within their responsibilities
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
Support the organizational commitment to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification – Montreal
Perform assigned tasks to assist DSV in achieving its quality, health, safety, and environmental goals and targets, and comply with all requirements outlined in DSV's Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
