About The Position

Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join our team at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high-quality care. The culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Burnsville, MN. This full-time culinary services position includes 48 hours per two weeks with a shift from 11:30 am-7:30 pm. The schedule is Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, with every other weekend off. This position offers a reliable schedule and full benefits.

Requirements

One to Three Years of experience
Must be 18+ years old
Food Handlers certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days of start date

Nice To Haves

Associate of Arts or Vocational/Technical Training - Food Service
Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications
Food Protection Manager certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days or Certified Food Protection Manager certificate (CFPM) Must be issued by the State of Minnesota for locations in the state of MN within 90 Days

Responsibilities

Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards.
Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
Set up line service
Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
Assists with special events
Assists the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
