About The Position
Valora St. Anthony, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Chef/Cook to join their growing team. Valora St. Anthony is located in a peaceful neighborhood just minutes from Minneapolis and St. Paul. The community is easily accessible via major roads, making it a convenient option for employees in surrounding areas. They help seniors Age Magnificently in their 73-unit assisted living and care suites. The Cook/Chef becomes family and impacts the lives of residents. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations.
Requirements
- Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
- Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
- Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
- Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
- Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
