About The Position

Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join their team at Martin Luther Care Center. This full-time culinary services position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. The culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by residents in the Senior Living Community Aurora on France located in Edina, MN. Aurora on France is a state-of-the-art senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital, offering a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care, and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Requirements

ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date
Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications
Must have good problem solving and time leadership skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

Vocational/technical training/education/degree
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Cooking experience in a similar environment
Scratch cooking experience

Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care
Plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents
Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards
Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents
Set up line service
Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use
Assists with special events
Assists Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
