About The Position

As a Cheese Specialist, your day is centered around product knowledge, customer interaction, and maintaining a well-presented epicurean department. You’re the go-to for great taste and even better pairings, helping customers explore cheeses while providing details that make selection easier. From answering questions to highlighting featured items, your role supports an engaging and informative shopping experience. A gouda part of the role is keeping everything fresh, inviting, and ready for what customers are craving next. You’ll cut and prepare cheeses with consistency, refresh displays so they stay full and appealing, and keep an eye on product rotation and quality throughout the day. Between restocking, updating signage, and introducing new items, there’s always something happening, which makes it a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active and keeping things looking their best in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• Clear communication when presenting product information and assisting with selection.
• Familiarity with cheese varieties, characteristics, and pairings, with interest in expanding knowledge.
• Experience handling, cutting, and preparing food products according to established standards.
• Consistent execution of cutting, labeling, rotation, and presentation requirements.
• Effective handling of daily tasks, inventory tracking, and merchandising upkeep.
• Maintaining displays that are clean, organized, and visually consistent.
• Monitoring product levels, managing dates, and placing accurate orders.
• Participation in sampling efforts, featured items, and seasonal merchandising activities.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices, temperature control, and handling standards.
• Comfort with standing for extended periods.
• Comfort with lifting and moving products up to 55lbs.
• Comfort with working in cooler environments.
