About The Position

Responsible for learning and supporting a full-service Murray's experience that embodies food passion, cheese knowledge, interactive customer service, and industry-leading merchandising. The role works closely with the in-store Murray's Cheese Master to create an outgoing, personal, theatrical cheese-retail environment. The employee is expected to role-model the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Requirements

A strong desire to learn, enthusiasm for the product, and interest in and willingness to try new and innovative approaches.
Interest in and openness to trying cheese daily.
Ability to convey ideas at the appropriate level for the audience.
Retail experience.
A 'Super Foodie' and supportive of cheese business initiatives.
Ability to inspire and motivate customers while ensuring successful completion of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

Cut, wrap, and merchandise cheese and related grocery items.
Actively demonstrate products in the Murray's Cheese Shop, Deli, and other areas.
Provide proactive customer service through ongoing conversations and tastings.
Conduct daily cheese tastings to develop product expertise and be willing to taste cheese every day.
Contribute to target sales and gross profit goals.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
Comply with the Murray's operations manual and ensure product selection is consistently fully stocked, fresh, signed, and rotated.
Complete Murray's Basic Skills Training and Murray's Red Jacket Training.
Create and maintain the Murray's Boutique experience through education, service, effective cross-selling, merchandising, and promoting designated products.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
