About The Position
We are looking for someone who has great attention to detail and enjoys physical work. In this role the individual selected will play a critical role in our operation ensuring the cheese we use in our process is prepped and ready for production to use. This includes inspecting and physically moving cheese throughout the day. Applicants selected for interviews will be contacted via email. Please be sure to check your SPAM/JUNK folders. This is a very physically demanding position.
Requirements
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms.
- Stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 10-hour shift.
- Climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms.
- Bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Repetitive overhead lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs constantly, or lifting of objects using mechanical assistance.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and physically move cheese throughout the day.
- Operate production equipment (training provided) as needed.
- Operate a stand up forklift.
- Follow all food safety standards including SQF and HACCP.
- Ensure a clean work environment.
