About The Position

Togetherhood is a marketplace connecting talented instructors with schools and communities seeking enrichment programs. They offer opportunities for instructors to share their skills in various subjects, including Cheerleading, with K-12 students. The mission is to infuse communities with high-quality enrichment and education. Instructors are matched with opportunities to teach Cheerleading to K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across Boston for terms ranging from 6 to 18 weeks.

Requirements

Experience teaching school-age children
Subject matter expertise in Cheerleading
Skill for building hands-on projects with kids
Excitement, joy, and passion for both teaching kids and personal development/learning
Ability to create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Ability to bring own voice and creativity to each class
Cooperative, supportive, flexible
Dependable, proactive, and thrives when given autonomy
Appreciates support and clear expectations
Resume showcasing relevant teaching experience (or other relevant experience/training if formal teaching experience is lacking)

Responsibilities

Develop age-appropriate Cheerleading curriculum for after-school students
Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise
Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged
Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels
Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment
Track student growth and offer positive, helpful feedback
Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach
Create a memorable experience for the children in your class
