About The Position

Brains and Motion Education (BAM!) is seeking a passionate Cheer Instructor to lead engaging, high-energy after-school cheer programs. BAM! specializes in innovative STEM, Arts, and Sports enrichment programs, aiming to equip kids with the tools to thrive. This role is ideal for someone who loves cheerleading, enjoys mentoring youth, and wants to share the joy of cheerleading in a fun and supportive setting.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of cheerleading experience as an instructor, coach, or team member (high school, college, or competitive-level experience preferred).
• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring (coaching/teaching experience is preferred).
• Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8.
• Must possess a current, government issued photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license or state ID, and have dependable transportation to travel to assigned program locations as needed.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cheer Classes: Teach cheerleading fundamentals, including basic stunts, tumbling, jumps, chants, and dance routines, tailored to the age and skill level of your students (grades K-8).
• Foster Teamwork: Encourage collaboration, sportsmanship, and confidence through positive reinforcement and team-building activities.
• Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where every student feels supported and valued.
• Represent BAM!: Deliver a fun and professional experience by implementing BAM!'s cheer program curriculum and maintaining our high standards for instruction and care.
