About The Position

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic and reliable After-School Coaches to teach Cheer and Dance to elementary-aged students in fun, structured enrichment programs throughout Centreville. This is an excellent opportunity for college students interested in education, coaching, youth development, kinesiology, exercise science, recreation, dance, or physical education. If you enjoy working with children and creating a positive, active learning environment, we'd love to hear from you. We are currently hiring coaches to teach Cheer and Dance programs.

Requirements

• Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5
• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Alexandria
• Dependable and punctual
• Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process

Nice To Haves

• Experience participating in or teaching Cheer/Dance, gymnastics, or a related activity is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students Cheer/Dance activities
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans
• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students
• Encourage confidence, teamwork, physical activity, and participation
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership
