HealthWorks Medical is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Check-Out Receptionist to join their Corporate Care team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous medical office, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients with professionalism and compassion during the check-out process.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals as needed.
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Collect balances and other patient payments while accurately processing transactions.
  • Provide patients with visit summaries, work status notes, instructions, and any necessary documentation.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions or direct them to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Protect patient privacy by maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist with scanning, filing, and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as assigned.
