About The Position

This position involves learning and performing checking and straightening tasks in an industrial manufacturing environment. The trainee will be expected to adhere to safety policies, work effectively in a team, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve their understanding of the checking and straightening process and tool usage. The role requires flexibility to work additional hours, including potential Saturdays and holidays, and involves physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Exposure to noise, extreme temperatures, and chemicals is also part of the work environment.

Requirements

Adhere to all requirements stated in Astro’s Safety Policies and Procedures
Ability to interact and work in a “team environment.”
Checking and straightening experience (min. 1+ yrs.) a plus or willingness to learn straightening trade skills.
Previous experience with industrial, manufacturing and general labor a plus.
Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as necessary, weekends and holidays.
Ability to comprehend & communicate effectively in English (Spanish is a plus).
High School Diploma, GED equivalent.
Must be 21 and over.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Learn and improve understanding of Check and Straightening process and tool use.
Demonstrate understanding of Check and Straightening process and tool use.
Obtain Forklift certification.
Obtain Crane and rigging certification.
