About The Position
Join Fiesta Mart's Store Operations Team as a Checker! This role is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, processing sales quickly and accurately, operating the cash register, and safeguarding company assets. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, involving physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. This position is for individuals aged 16-17.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write Spanish/English.
- Ability to interact with the general public and co-workers.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times.
