About The Position
Join Fiesta Mart's Store Operations Team as a Checker. This role is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, processing sales quickly and accurately, operating the cash register, and safeguarding company assets. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, involving physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. This position is under the direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write Spanish/English.
- Ability to interact with the general public and co-workers.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times.
