(18 yrs+ to apply) Checker (6am - 10:30pm) - Richmond Center (Corner of Clayton Rd & Big Bend)
About The Position
Candidates MUST be available either 6am-10:30pm or 2pm-10pm along with being able to work Saturdays and Sundays to be considered. This role is offering 20-25 hours per week. This is not an official description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. You could expect the position of checker to include the following: DUTIES: • Provide friendly and courteous service to customers • Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. • Greet customers prior to checking their order • Check out customer’s purchases accurately • Identify and know produce items and be able to properly use produce and product codes • Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons • Process manufacturer coupons • Collect correct amount due from customer • Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options • Complete register record accurately • Practice and maintain cash security • Bag customer orders • Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes • Other duties may be as assigned at the discretion of store management
Requirements
- 18 yrs+ to apply
- Available either 6am-10:30pm or 2pm-10pm
- Able to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (Internal Candidates)
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (Store Support Center Teammates)
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline) (Internal Candidates)
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance (Internal Candidates)
Nice To Haves
- Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
- Internal Candidates: Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
