About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Responsibilities include greeting customers, accurately checking out purchases, identifying and knowing produce items and their codes, distinguishing and processing manufacturer and Schnucks coupons, collecting the correct amount due, and using proper procedures for various payment options. The role also requires completing the register record accurately, practicing and maintaining cash security, bagging customer orders, and changing register receipt and coupon machine tapes. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.

Requirements

21 years or older to apply
Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates
Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates
Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
Greet customers prior to checking their order
Check out customer’s purchases accurately
Identify and know produce items and be able to properly use produce and product codes
Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons
Process manufacturer coupons
Collect correct amount due from customer
Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options
Complete register record accurately
Practice and maintain cash security
Bag customer orders
Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes
