Join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Checker at store location 6810 Eastern Ave. Bell Gardens, California, 90201. El Super has been serving customers for over 25 years, offering exceptional value and a wide variety of products, especially from Latin America. As part of the Chedraui USA group, El Super aims to provide an outstanding shopping experience with fresh selections, and values its people as central to its mission. The Checker is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales accurately and efficiently, operating the cash register, and protecting company assets. This role requires the ability to read and understand instructions, product labels, and pricing, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and apply common sense to follow instructions. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally. The job also involves prolonged periods of standing, bending, stooping, walking, kneeling, and requires visual and auditory capabilities. The working environment is typical of a fast-paced grocery store.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of times
