Checker Loader- 3rd Shift
About The Position
The Checker Loader is responsible for reading factory work orders and various shipping and/or receiving papers to understand customer requirements and processing information. This role involves monitoring conveyor take-off lines, removing units, and loading them into trailers or placing them in storage. The Checker Loader will also check load tags and unit counts for accuracy, inspect finished units for handling damage and intact straps during loading, and accurately complete tally sheets to record loaded units. Additionally, they will maintain organized paperwork, generate bills of lading, deliver units to production areas, and keep work areas, storage areas, and aisles clean and organized. Responsibilities include sweeping and cleaning trailers, taking and maintaining accurate inventories, stretch wrapping specified units, performing receiving duties as needed, assisting with loading bales, working on the sheet line, and ensuring the forklift is clean and maintained. The position also requires giving breaks to the Unitizer operator.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Consent to a background check and pre-employment physical / drug screen.
- Flexible to work overtime as needed.
- Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new things, receive and follow instructions.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years manufacturing experience highly preferred.
- Prior forklift experience highly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities

- Inspect finished units during the loading process to insure that they are free from handling damage and that the straps are intact.
- Accurately complete tally sheets to record units loaded into trailers.
- Maintain well-organized paperwork.
- Generate accurate bills of lading.
- Deliver sheet and/or in-process units to production areas as required.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, storage areas, and aisles.
- Sweep and clean trailers such that only clean trailers are used for our products.
- Take and maintain accurate inventories.
- Stretch wrap specified units.
- Perform receiving duties as needed and other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Give breaks to Unitizer operator.
- Assist with loading bales and working on sheet line.
- Ensure forklift is clean and maintained.
