About The Position

This role involves operating an industrial forklift to manage shipping operations. Key responsibilities include inspecting the forklift before use, handling returns, preparing trailers for loading, accurately labeling materials, and loading trucks according to customer requirements and specific loading sequences. The position also requires maintaining a clean work environment, managing inventory, and adhering to all safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial forklift on a daily basis
Inspect forklift prior to use, using the Forklift pre-use inspection form
Unload any returns and put in the Non-Conforming area
Clean and sweep out trailer prior to loading
Apply glad hand lock to trailer prior to loading
Apply wheel chock to trailer prior to loading
Complete the shipping check off sheet
Fill out dry erase board with trailer number, shipment number, order number, cust.name
Properly label all peeled good rolls and verify SAP number, color code
Load trucks in accordance with customer requirements
Load roll, toppers, blocks onto trailer according to loading sequence, with the direction from the shipping lead
Adhere to any special instructions listed on the ZSO / picking ticket
Demonstrate consistent ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
Pull material from finished stock area
Maintain a clean and neat work environment by returning & consolidating empty porta racks
Maintain Value of Order on a daily basis
Other related duties as assigned by shipping lead or Supervisor
