About The Position

People's Express is seeking Chauffeur Drivers to transport clients to medical appointments, grocery stores, work, and personal events. The role involves serving low-income, disabled, and senior citizens to promote their independence and community involvement. Drivers will operate various vehicles, including cars, minivans, and Transit Vans, some equipped with lifts for clients using mobility devices. The position requires patience, sensitivity, and a team-player attitude, with a focus on ensuring client safety and well-being.

Requirements

Minimum of a chauffeur license required.
Valid chauffeur license or CDL with a P Endorsement.
Good driving record.
Required to pass a DOT drug and alcohol screening.
Holder of a CDL medical card or able to obtain one.
Able to board and secure clients who use mobility devices.
Experience as a van driver: 3 years (Required).
Afternoon Shift availability (required).

Nice To Haves

Preferable availability of 5 days a week or 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities

Transport clients to and from work, medical appointments, shopping trips, and personal events.
Operate vehicles of all sizes, including cars, minivans, and Transit Vans.
Assist clients who use mobility devices by boarding and securing them.
Ensure the safety of passengers during transportation.
Work with a diverse range of clients, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Maintain a positive and helpful attitude towards clients.
