About The Position

As a Class 1 commercial driver at United Rentals, your goal will be to deliver equipment to our customers safely, in a timely manner, efficiently, and courteously. You will also have the opportunity to advance your career and contribute to the unprecedented success and unparalleled growth of our company. By frequently interacting with our customers, you will be a company ambassador and provide exceptional customer service. And since we are locally based, you will be back home every night.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 commercial driver's license with an acceptable driving record
High school diploma or general education diploma
Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 20 kg / 45 lbs.
Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
Special attention to safety

Responsibilities

Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
Operate delivery and construction equipment, such as a 53-foot tractor/trailer, following Transport Canada standards
Adhere to all equipment-specific safety requirements, including federal motor carrier safety regulations
Maintain driver logs and perform pre-trip inspections
Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
Other duties as assigned as needed
