Chauffeur (Classe 1)
About The Position
GFL Environnemental is looking for a Class 1 FM driver to join our Lévis team for long-distance routes! Overnight stays during the week are required for this position, from Monday to Friday, traveling to Fermont each week to collect from 10 to 15 clients. The role involves driving a closed box truck and/or tractor-trailer, with 60% driving and 40% manual labor, including handling and retrieving various containers. The driver will also be responsible for completing administrative documents and adhering to the company's Health, Safety, and Environment standards. This is a permanent, full-time position with a day shift schedule starting at 6:00 am, Monday to Friday. Overtime is paid after 40 hours. The work involves long-distance driving to Fermont, collecting from 10-15 clients weekly, with overnight stays Monday to Friday. The role is primarily manual driving.
Requirements
- Posséder un permis de conduire valide classe 1 FM (obligatoire) ;
- 5 ans d'expérience en transport routier classe 1;
- Expérience de minimum 1 an en transport de citerne;
- Avoir de bonnes connaissances en mécanique de véhicule lourds;
- Bonne maîtrise du français écrit et parlé;
- Excellente condition physique, bonne endurance, capacité de soulever des charges (environ 50 livres) ;
- Disponibilité à découcher du lundi au vendredi
- Autonomie;
- Axé sur la santé et la sécurité.
Responsibilities
- Conduire un camion-boîte fermée et/ou tracteur et remorque;
- 60% de conduite de véhicule et 40% de travail manuel;
- Manipulation et récupération de contenants divers;
- Compléter différents documents administratifs;
- Respecter les normes en Santé, Sécurité et Environnement de la compagnie.
- Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes.
