About The Position

Product Engineer – Chassis Mounts is responsible for system design, development, and engineering release of powertrain mounts, differential mounts, EDM mounts, body mounts, and adaptor brackets. The engineer will be responsible for executing a work plan to achieve the component and system level functional objectives. They will be responsible for the on-time delivery of components/systems from initial concept through vehicle launch. Project management key process indicators (KPI's) and Quality, Cost, Timing, Performances (QCTP) efficiency will be utilized to monitor progress. Responsibilities include the component design (FMEA), analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), Product Assurance Plan (PAP), component validation (DVP&R), change management (CN), engineering bill of material (EBOM/CODEP), build support (Stellantis assembly plants and supplier plants), issue management (GIMs), fastened joint design, and assembly torque development. Engineer will also work with multiple support groups (NVH, Dynamics, Safety, Vehicle Integration, Stress Lab, and CAE) to complete all validation and testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree field.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering design and development experience in a product release environment.
  • Demonstrated team leadership abilities including the ability to set targets, evaluate/identify gaps to existing targets, and lead solution activity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in Chassis Component Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
  • 5 years of frame or structural chassis component engineering.
  • Direct leadership experience.
  • Experience with problem solving such as Red-X.
  • Experience with robust design such as Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
  • Ability in NX/Teamcenter.
  • Possess strong skills like DFMEA, DVP&R, and PAP.
