About The Position

The Chassis Mechanic will be an integral part of the maintenance team. This Chassis Mechanic will perform repairs such as brake repairs, tire replacements, and general chassis maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment were safe and ready for operation. The Chassis Mechanic will also assist with inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, while supporting heavy equipment mechanics with maintenance and repair tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year experience in equipment repairs preferred
  • Organizational skills
  • Effective communication
  • Time management
  • Experience with Microsoft office products, terminal operating systems, SharePoint or google drive
  • Ability to frequently lift over 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to push and pull up to 80 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders

Responsibilities

  • Asses, document, and fix chassis.
  • Diagnostic work using computerized or manual testing equipment
  • Perform routine checks to prevent equipment failures
  • Adjust and replace faulty parts to ensure equipment functionality and safety
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standards
  • Maintain daily records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections
  • Reports on priorities and work plan to the Management
  • Perform daily housekeeping and preventative maintenance duties
  • Assist Heavy Equipment Mechanics and other departments when needed
