This position conducts pulling of replenishments by utilizing and operating powered equipment. It also involves building pallets for stocking with cases of product and following safety procedures while operating powered equipment throughout the warehouse. The role assists the distribution department with the overseeing of incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and packages. It includes inspecting warehouse equipment and machinery to pinpoint unsafe conditions for accident prevention, and loading and unloading pallets using heavy operating machinery, such as forklifts and/or overhead cranes. The individual will maintain standard operating procedures throughout the warehousing department to meet safety and regulatory compliance, and communicate effectively with supporting departments and distribution facilities to ensure timely and accuracy in customer order fulfillment. Responsibilities also include compiling educational materials, training, and presentations to instruct staff members on health and safety matters within the distribution department, monitoring inventory levels, processing stock transfer requests and purchase orders, observing the condition of the distribution facility for improvement recommendations, and collecting statistical data to optimize processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 year Prior Relevant Work Experience.
  • Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Observes the condition of the distribution facility and makes notations to share with leadership for improvement recommendations.
  • Collects statistical data on distribution operation times and develops a pragmatic approach to optimize processes.
