About The Position

Lake Country Transportation (LCT) is seeking CDL school bus drivers with "untapped potential" to join their team. LCT is the new transportation provider for Wayzata Public Schools, handling regular school bus routes, field trips, and high school athletics and activities starting August 1, 2026. Requirements

Have School Bus driving experience
Have a valid CDL with Passenger & School Bus endorsements
Pass Background Check, Clearinghouse, and have compliant MVR (motor vehicle record)
Have a High School Diploma or GED
Able to speak, read and write in English

Responsibilities

Follow all LCT policies, procedures, and safety standards, including the Pre-Trip Inspection and Smith System concepts
Arrive at Base by clock-in time to allow Pre-Trip inspection
Provide safe and timely transportation from pickup to destination
Maintain logs and reports, which may include mileage, times, and student counts
Communicate effectively with parents, scholars, teachers, and colleagues
Demonstrate leadership, enthusiasm, and professionalism on and off the road
Keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and presentable
Motivate and support fellow team members
Protect confidentiality and be respectful
Attend all safety meetings
Solve problems using integrity, respect, and grace
