About The Position

DS Bus Lines is hiring a Charter & Activity Bus Driver in Columbia, MO. This position is designed for drivers who want a flexible, non-traditional schedule transporting passengers to sporting events, field trips, and special activities. If you prefer variety over a fixed morning/afternoon route and want to earn $24.25/hour, this is the perfect opportunity for retirees, veterans, or CDL holders seeking supplemental income. As a Charter and Activity specialist, your day-to-day changes constantly. You aren't just a driver; you are an essential part of the community's biggest events.

Requirements

• Age: 21+ with a valid driver’s license for 3+ consecutive years.
• CDL B with S & P endorsements (or the willingness to let us train you!).
• Clean driving record (no suspensions) and ability to pass a background check/drug screen.
• Must be comfortable with a variable schedule and last-minute changes—flexibility is the heart of this role.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to field trips and sporting events.
• Use navigation apps to research and plan the best routes based on traffic and weather.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure your bus is fueled and ready for the next adventure.
• Provide professional, top-tier customer service to students, coaches, and clients.
• Transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner.
• Using a vehicle to successfully transport people.
• Performing pre-trip inspections.
• Performing child checks post-route.
• Keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations.
