Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (required upon hire).
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (required upon hire).
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Perianesthesia RN experience.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience demonstrating leadership abilities.
- Previous Charge Nurse or RN leadership experience required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily operations of the Main Operating Room.
- Provide leadership and clinical support to perioperative nursing staff.
- Assign patient care responsibilities and manage staffing needs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Assist with complex surgical procedures when needed.
- Respond to patient care issues and support staff with clinical decision-making.
- Promote quality improvement initiatives and maintain a culture of patient safety.
