About The Position

The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Tele Department at Texas Health Fort Worth is responsible for providing leadership and clinical expertise to support the 38-bed unit. This unit cares for general medical/surgical patients with pulmonary, infection, renal, and wound conditions, as well as patients requiring cardiac drips, chest tubes, and TR bands. The department offers self-scheduling, opportunities for educational and career growth, a robust Unit Based Council (UBC), and an engaged leadership team. Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS within 90 days of hire
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
1-year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required

Nice To Haves

2-years experience as a clinical nurse in an Acute care setting and Med surg Tele preferred.
