About The Position
Pioneer Ridge Health & Rehab is seeking a Charge RN or LPN. Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON), the Charge Nurse directs, administers, and records care provided to residents at the facility. The Charge Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in accordance with their care plans.
- Confer as needed with physicians, patients, family members, and other staff involved in a patient’s care.
- Monitor the work of other nursing staff in the unit to ensure thoroughness and assist with tasks as needed.
- Communicate with patients and families about patient education and progress.
- Review and maintain clinical records required for patient care and progress.
- Review weekly reports to monitor personal and staff compliance with State and Federal requirements, including blood-borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety.
