About The Position

Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104 · Magnet-designated regional referral center has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930 . · Work hours: Full Time 40 hours per week, (4) 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday, with call-requirements, occasional weekends for call coverage. Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma
One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 Days Required
NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 6 Months Required
Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
2-years’ experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred
Two (2) years of ED, ICU RN experience strongly preferred
Experience with Interventional Radiology RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
