About The Position

Seeking an experienced RN with a Dialysis background, especially acute care. The Charge RN coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during their shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff. Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios.

Requirements

Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting
RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
BCLS - Basic Life Support
ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery)
PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology)
NRP by the end of orientation period (Women’s Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery)
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery)
PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital)
PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 30 days to obtain the PALS certification
