About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is seeking a full-time Charge Registered Nurse for its Trauma Progressive Care Unit at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. The hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.

The position is on 5 North, a 38-bed telemetry-monitored nursing unit serving adults and geriatric patients. The unit cares for high-acuity patients and offers exposure to a broad range of clinical conditions and procedures, including post-ICU trauma involving serious injury to two or more body systems; traumatic intrathoracic and intra-abdominal injuries; complex fractures and musculoskeletal wounds; complex cholecystectomy and appendectomy; bariatric, colorectal, thoracic, urologic, neurosurgical, vascular, and general surgery.

Requirements

• Completion of an established nursing program.
• At least two years of experience in the field.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
