About The Position

Armor Health is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse to join its team at St. John's County Jail. The role is based in a very busy clinic and requires strong time-management skills. The Charge RN coordinates daily patient-care activities, ensures physician orders are implemented and patient encounters are documented, oversees direct nursing care, and leads and supports staff. The position also involves coordinating with other care units and overseeing quality-assurance and infection-control activities.

Requirements

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and coordinate the unit’s daily patient-care activities, ensuring physician orders are fully implemented and patient encounters are documented using the POMR format.
• Schedule staff and patients to maintain complete coverage of patient care and provide effective patient services.
• Lead, guide, and train employees on related processes and expectations.
• Oversee and provide direct nursing care and consultation to patients.
• Coordinate services with other patient-care units as required and maintain communication with allied services.
• Oversee quality-assurance and infection-control activities and compliance with operational standards.
