About The Position

Charge Radiology Technologist at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. This is a Full-Time position with an Evening Shift, consisting of (4) 10-hour shifts. The role includes a $6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates. This Radiologic Technologist has shift charge responsibilities including exam workflow, staff training, addressing equipment and safety concerns, and coordinating/collaborating with multiple departments. The technologist also performs imaging examinations using sophisticated equipment, considering individual patient needs and age-related requirements. They utilize clinical knowledge for proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment to produce high-quality images while adhering to ALARA principles for minimal radiation exposure.

Requirements

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
• Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, Or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment
• Taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs
• Utilizing clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high-quality images
• Performing all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness
