About The Position

The Outpatient Dialysis Charge Nurse is responsible for coordinating the daily clinical operations of the dialysis facility while providing safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with CMS Conditions for Coverage, state regulations, and facility policies. This role provides direct supervision and leadership to nursing and patient care staff, ensures prescribed dialysis treatments are delivered safely and efficiently, monitors patient outcomes, promotes infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives, collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and serves as a clinical resource for staff, patients, and families. The Charge Nurse fosters a culture of safety, teamwork, and exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in nephrology nursing or dialysis.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CMS Conditions for Coverage and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Charge nurse or supervisory experience.
  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN).
  • Experience with quality improvement methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
