About The Position

The Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center is a 60-bed long-term care facility serving Kentucky’s Veterans. The facility is seeking Registered Nurses to work in its Clinical department as Administrative Charge Nurses. Four positions are available. Charge Nurses supervise professional and ancillary employees in administering efficient nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and help meet Veterans’ physical and psychosocial needs. The role calls for working in a team-centered environment to foster independence, preserve dignity, and provide compassionate care. Second- and third-shift positions are available, with every other weekend off.

Requirements

Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse; a bachelor's degree in nursing may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Must be licensed in Kentucky as a Registered Nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Must maintain required licensure, certifications, or other credentials for the length of employment.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Good work ethics.
Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Team leadership skills.
An active, unrestricted Registered Nurse status on the Kentucky Board of Nursing licensure verification is requested.
Must pass a fingerprint-supported national background check before an offer of employment; the agency cannot hire employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190.
