This Charge Nurse opportunity in Iraq supports multidisciplinary healthcare teams by overseeing daily nursing operations, mentoring clinical staff, and helping ensure efficient patient care delivery across the unit. Working closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing teams, this role combines clinical leadership with operational coordination in a collaborative international healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • 5+ years of nursing experience, including recent clinical practice within the past year.
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Charge Nurse or nursing leadership experience.
  • Prior experience supporting military, government, or international healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily nursing operations while supporting safe, efficient, and patient-centered care delivery across the unit.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering collaboration, clinical consistency, and professional development.
  • Partner with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support care planning, patient monitoring, and timely clinical decision-making.
  • Assess patient care needs and staffing priorities to help maintain effective workflow and positive patient outcomes.
  • Support documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to established nursing and organizational standards.
  • Promote clear communication among care teams, patients, and families within a collaborative clinical environment.
