About The Position

The Charge Nurse coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle and manages operational issues during the shift. The nurse provides clinical care as needed based on census, communicates patient care matters, departmental issues, and staff concerns to appropriate leaders, and serves as a resource for staff guidance and assistance.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Required nursing licensure and certifications depend on the applicable nursing discipline or unit. The posting lists RN Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure and BCLS (Basic Life Support) as required.
• The posting lists additional discipline-specific certification requirements, which may include ACLS, PALS, chemotherapy/biotherapy certification, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, PEARS, TNCC, or ENPC.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
