About The Position

The Charge Nurse at Brookhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is responsible for providing direct patient care and overseeing the nursing staff. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, and monitoring patient vital signs. The Charge Nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, assist in policy development, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Additionally, the position involves educating and supporting patients and their families.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (RN or LPN)
• Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care principles
• Proficiency in case management and medical office procedures
• Experience with vital signs monitoring, cardiac catheterization, sterile processing, and administering injections
• Familiarity with tube feeding, gastric lavage, and coding practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
