8 tower is looking for a Weekend Staffing Team Charge nurse to add to their team. This position will work 7:00PM-7:00AM with no on-call shifts and no holidays! We’re seeking an experienced RN to take on a leadership role as Charge Nurse. In this position, you’ll oversee daily operations on your unit, providing guidance and support to the care team while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, managing workflow, and serving as a clinical resource for your peers. Requires a current RN license and a minimum of two years of nursing experience. Strong leadership and critical thinking skills are essential. Position Summary The Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides inpatient nursing care to patients in compliance with the SC Nurse Practice Act and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The RN demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence-based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. The RN demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for support associates. The RN will collaborate with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System?s culture, Mission, Vision, and Values. Associates are encouraged to engage and support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System?s involvement in the communities we serve. Our Neuro Trauma unit (8 Tower) has 28 beds (Tele/Oxygen monitored), 1:4/5 nurse to patient ratio (depending on acuity) with an average stay of 4-5 days and an average age of . This unit's patient population includes: Stroke, TBI, Spinal Cord Injury, Neuro Surgeries, Lumba Fusions, Anterior Cervical Surgery, Seizures, etc. The team personality is motivated, flexible, inclusive, collaborative with a great learning environment with awesome preceptors and team longevity.
