About The Position

Martha Franks is seeking a dependable, skilled Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide full-time day-shift coverage from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The nurse leads the shift’s clinical operations, supervises direct care staff, administers medications and treatments, and serves as a primary clinical contact for residents, families, and attending physicians. The community is managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance and describes its culture as focused on clinical excellence, teamwork, and respect for direct care staff.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered South Carolina license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Strong assessment, medication administration, and emergency response capabilities.
• Dependable, approachable, and proactive leadership style with excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Charge Nurse or floor nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living, or Long-Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee shift nursing care, ensuring resident care plans, physician orders, and facility protocols are followed.
• Administer medications and provide treatments, including complex wound care; monitor vital signs and residents’ clinical conditions.
• Guide, mentor, and support CNAs/STNAs during the shift and ensure daily care duties and resident assistance are completed on time.
• Document clinical changes, assessments, incidents, and shift reports accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to attending physicians, families, and incoming shift leadership.
