About The Position

This is a 13-week internal assignment for a Charge Nurse (RN) position. The role involves delivering, directing, and supervising patient care on a nursing unit, utilizing the nursing process. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching, and accessing community resources. The position may also involve other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities, which require ACLS certification.

Requirements

• RN License in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.

Nice To Haves

• Current ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments
• Higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines, etc.
• 2 years of experience in direct patient care

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care.
• Interdisciplinary planning.
• Discharge planning.
• Patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Accessing community resources.
• Performing other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse duties.
