About The Position

This role is for a Charge Nurse (RN) in the Preoperative unit at Memorial Medical Center. The unit is a 22-bed ASU/Preop/PMC unit on the 1st floor, staffed with RNs, CNAs, and unit secretaries. The team provides specialized care for preoperative patients undergoing general surgery, bariatric surgery, orthopedic, and urological procedures. The position involves working in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced monitoring technology to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure optimal outcomes for a diverse patient population. The Charge Nurse will utilize specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator, shaping exceptional patient journeys and leveraging skills and cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Requirements

Current state RN license.
Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
One year of experience preferred.
