About The Position
The Staff Pad is proud to partner with Russellville Hospital, in Russellville, AL and is looking for a confident Med Surg RN who thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Join the team at Russellville Hospital as a Charge Nurse (RN) and help lead a high-performing Medical-Surgical unit during overnight shifts. This position blends direct patient care with clinical leadership, offering the opportunity to support and mentor a dedicated nursing team while delivering safe, efficient, and exceptional care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Alabama RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg or acute care nursing experience
- Previous Charge Nurse or leadership experience
Nice To Haves
- PALS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily unit operations during your shift
- Assign and support nursing staff based on patient acuity and workflow to ensure smooth flow of operations
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
- Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow
- Serve as a mentor, clinical resource, and leader for the nursing team
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care
