About The Position

Our Progressive Care team is looking for a Charge RN to join its team. Charge RN will work under the direction of the Nursing Director, works with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager as a part of the management/leadership team to provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes which includes patient flow, exceptional care experiences, quality processes, patient safety, and direction of unit staff in designated service area(s). May provide direct patient care. Acute Medical Step-Down: The Acute Medical Step-Down unit at Presbyterian Hospital provides care for high acuity patients within a culture that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing minimum from an accredited academic nursing program
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
• ACLS certification (depending on specialty area)

Nice To Haves

• Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred
• CDS Inpatient Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
• Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS
• Pediatrics / PICU: PALS
• Newborn Nursery / Mother-Baby Care / NICU: NRP
• Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others
• Pre-op / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS, PALS
• Oncology Chemotherapy certification
