About The Position

Responsible for the daily flow of perioperative patients in the Pre-Op/PACU areas. Responsible to plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical patients. This encompasses patient issues, staffing issues, schedule issues, and daily problem solving. Ensures staff adhere to patient safety standards, and documentation requirements according to CPAN standards, recommended practices. Works cooperatively with: Providers, Healthcare Professionals, and Allied Health Staff. Works collaboratively daily with the Great Falls Hospital PACU Supervisor. Receives direction from: Director of Perioperative Services, Anesthesia, Surgeons, and Chief Nursing Officer. Gives directions to: Pre-Op/PACU staff

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program or school
2+ years of previous experience in PACU
MT State Nursing License
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures
Principles of Asepsis
CPAN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform the essential functions of the position
Passing a pre-employment screening, which includes: Criminal background check, Drug Screening, Health and Immunizations Screening

Nice To Haves

BSN, preferred
Previous Charge experience, preferred
Critical Care nursing experience, preferred
CPAN or ASPAN, desired
